EVIDENCE, NOT ASSUMPTION

Evidence and review scope

Catalogue completeness and evidence depth are separate measures.

Baseline and classification

The baseline is the 101-record public main at 87fdd35. The original list is preserved separately; displayed titles use Crossref registrations when available. Substantive title differences are shown alongside the baseline. Each record has one primary theme; secondary links do not increase counts.

Provenance of theme definitions

Definitions were cross-checked against BCCI presentation v9, slide 7, and the existing Research Alignment and Sources review. The boundaries are tissue–biomaterial, substrate–interconnect, interconnect–chip, and device–host response. The original Deformable routing is expanded to Deformable electrical routing as requested. Subthemes are editorial proposals, not official BCCI subdivisions. Encapsulation and protection span the themes; unpublished results and figures are excluded.

Meaning of evidence levels

Catalogue records use the public lab list. Metadata checked denotes a bibliographic comparison such as Crossref registration, not publisher full-text verification. Abstract checked relies only on the text read. Publisher abstracts, registered Crossref abstracts and PubMed/Europe PMC abstracts are distinguished in the sources. Graphical-abstract text and brief registered abstracts receive more specific badges. Full text checked means the cited open text or locally held published paper was read; it does not imply that every supplement or numerical claim was revalidated.

Titles and publication years

Years follow the baseline issue/publication convention. Some differ from online-first dates, so the default Crossref year is not substituted automatically. Record #99, originally lacking a DOI, now has a DOI and publication details verified at the publisher and Crossref. The catalogue year for #101, still without a confirmed DOI, is not asserted as a publication date in structured data.

Principles for comparison

External literature provides mechanistic context or comparison criteria for each reviewed record. Superiority is not asserted without matched direct comparisons. Open questions distinguish documented limits from questions for further review; a review question is not an experimentally established failure.

Full texts, figures and rights

The site contains bibliographic facts, original commentary and source links. Full papers and supplements are not redistributed. Original figures are included only after checking reuse rights and figure-specific credits, with their source, DOI, figure number and license; other originals remain source links. Access does not confer reuse rights. AI-generated concept illustrations are explanatory images made in ChatGPT on the web, distinguished from original figures and experimental evidence, with their simplifications stated.

Local review and pre-publication steps

This bilingual static HTML review can be read directly from files. Local review pages are marked noindex. A public build provides canonical URLs and language alternatives at its configured address. Unverified full texts and supplements remain in the review queue; claims are limited to the evidence actually reviewed. Structured data does not guarantee search or AI-service visibility.

Current evidence depth

  • Catalogue record: 1
  • Metadata checked: 6
  • Abstract checked: 37
  • Full text checked: 57

Figures and expanded commentary

Of 101 papers, 23 have original figures with checked reuse terms and 28 have AI-generated concept illustrations. Concept review or production is pending for 43; main-text or abstract evidence is pending for 7. Expanded commentary for 30 confirmed corresponding-author papers has been reviewed within its stated evidence scope. A figure or commentary does not establish completion of all main-text and supplementary checks.
